I was the one assigned with the edit of our DVD cover so I tried my best.

Inspirational filmmaker
We were initially inspired by Agnes Varda’s autobiography documentary “Beaches of Agnes” (2008) through it’s technical aspects using a mixture of archive and current material, which was achieved by encompassing ‘Snapchat shot’ videos produced by students to create the link between the significance of a location and the people involved. As Bill Nichols said “Documentaries are about reality; they’re about something that actually happened.” henceforth, the anecdotes featured within the documentaries were an important feature for the audience as it could be relatable.
As guided by Mary McMurray, the Sussex Alumni and also Documentary filmmaker, advised the Team to have a punchy story or two that will peak the audiences interest considering this film is targeted towards Sussex Students.

Filming interviews
Today we went filming and the only sad part was that it was really windy and we didn't really realise, only in the edit booth so we had to work in audition.

Mary Mc. Interview
Even if more than 5 alumni bailed out and didn't show up or reply to e-mails, we manage to find someone in the end. Mary McMurry is a Sussex alumni that had the chance to live with and without East Slope Bar. Furthermore, she even did a documentary about the bar! We couldn't interview her live so we had to Face Time with her but it worked well in the end. It was a long interview that despite its quality, can be used in the documentary.

Joining another group for the documentary - East slope bar - filming planner
Because my group was down with only me and Jordan and the strike was finally over. They split us and relocate us with other groups from the class. This is why now I joined group B. They are making a documentary about the demolition of East Slope Bar.
So far we made a timetable with the time for everything we need to do.

Inspirational Filmmaker
For our project we choose Frederick Wiseman to be our inspiration.

Tea Room idea failed - again... New idea - Stanmer Village
I went with Jordan to speak with someone at the Tea Room if we can make a documentary about it and surprisingly the answer was a big NO.
The lady we spoke with, the owner of the whole place was really rude with us and she didn't give us any chance to talk.
Because of that now we decided that we will do the documentary about the whole Stanmer Village
With regards to the creation of the documentary: it was decided that, as a group, we would include the history of the village to add more depth to the depictions of the area and surroundings.

- Stanmer Church - built in 1838 on the same site as its predecessor that was destroyed by fire in the 14th century.
- Stanmer House - Recently derelict, its current design was built in 1722
- Locally excavated agriculture artifacts
Stanmer village is home to multiple landmarks that have historical significance; allowing depictions of such buildings to capture the atmosphere of the village.
Is really hard to work when I am alone with only Jordan, but we can make it.

New idea for the Documentary - Tea Room Stanmer Park
Because Mellow Zebra has moved to Prague we had to review our options at this moment. We decided on the Tea Room from Stanmer Park.
Tea Room is important because it allows dogs to stay inside and enjoy some fresh water while their owners drink their coffee/tea.
It is also the only cafe in the village and because of that it has an important meaning for the village population.
We are going to talk with the management tomorrow and see if we can gain access.
Meanwhile, here is the history of the place:
The Tea Rooms
The Tea Rooms have been a popular part of the village since the 1950's, and still maintain the same charm and character.
We serve hot and cold meals, snacks and seasonal specialities with a delicious range of coffees, teas and cold drinks. You are certain to find something that takes your fancy whether starting to explore this glorious park at the Tea Rooms or ending up here after an envigorating walk.
Our cakes and scones for our delicious cream teas are all homemade and we also have a selection of Gluten free cakes.
Come and relax outside with a drink and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Stanmer Park and the South Downs, that look stunning all year round.
Too cold outside? , come inside and enjoy our wide selection of hot drinks to warm you up.
Inside we have a second dining room that can be used for various functions, we attend to Wakes with sensitivity and courtesy.

1 minute task - We are down to 3 people
One of our people from the group has left the Documentary Module and now we are down only at 3 people.
We had a 1 minute task "The downfalls of independent living" and me and Jordan went filming and then I edited as in the end even our 3rd person dropped out of Uni so we are down at 2 people.
